Arrow Altech Distribution (AAD) is Africa's leading distributor of quality industrial, electronic and computer components and represents many of the foremost international component and computer product manufacturers in the world.

AAD is a joint venture between Altech, South Africa's R3,1 bn JSE Securities Exchange listed TMT group, and Arrow Electronics, one of the world's largest NYSE listed $13 bn electronics distribution groups.

Recognised as the distribution hub into Africa, AAD's world class distribution centre situated in Jet Park, ensures that customers experience convenience when purchasing electronic components, computer products and other related products. This newly-constructed 6000 m warehouse and office facility provide a business centre for approximately 150 staff, with regional offices in Cape Town and Durban. Computer Products Group

The Computer Products Group (CPG) of Arrow Altech Distribution has evolved from a supplier of CPU, motherboard and certain networking products (with Intel as its flagship principal of 28 years) to a division now carrying 30 additional computer product lines from 17 leading manufacturers. Well-known names such as Intel, Matrox, AMD, IBM, Seagate, LG, MediaForte, HP, ADI, EIZO and others make up an impressive line card. This broad line transition took place in a short space of time and forms part of AAD's strategic goal to be an active and leading player in the IT industry. This full-house 'stack' of products complements Altech's strategy of exploiting the convergence between telecoms, multimedia and IT. AAD CPG leverages from Arrow's international supplier relationships and has access to the company's Microtronica inventory in the UK and Europe when required. CPG also boasts qualified technical staff who are able to assist in complex network designs and solutions and can provide pre and post sales support on a broad range of products and systems.
