All-Italian PCB machines manufacturing company formed

7 November 2001 News

An all-Italian group specialising in the design and manufacture of high-tech equipment for printed circuit board fabrication has been founded from the merger of three leading companies - Cedal, International Supplies, and Pluritec. The new group, called ACD Technologies S.p.A., has 2001 sales forecast at over 300 billion lira, of which more than 80% result from export.

ACD Technologies can count on a range of products that covers around 70% of the equipment needed to set up an industrial processing line for PCB fabrication. The group says it will create an important combination of commercial, productive and managerial opportunities. Technical know-how, which has always been one of the main strengths of all three companies, it says, will be shared, thus ensuring a positive technical contribution towards product innovation.

This industrial merger of world leaders in their field stems from the mutual desire of the shareholders to approach their customers (PCB manufacturers) as a single force to further strengthen their position on an international level. The universally renowned trademarks used today (Cedal, IS and Pluritec) will continue to characterise the ACD products, according to the companies.

One of ACD Technologies' medium term aims is to be quoted on the Stock Exchange.
