Crabtree wins an SABS design award
6 November 2002
News
The recently launched 'Diamond Ducting' range from Crabtree Electrical Accessories, has won a prestigious 2002 SABS Design Institute Award in the 'Industrial' category. Technical director, Gian Campetti accepted the award on behalf of the Crabtree Electrical Accessories design team at the SABS Design Institute Awards banquet, held recently at Gallagher Estate.
Diamond Ducting is a locally designed modular range of ducting outlets, which was developed to suit nine different trunking systems. The company says that it was this aspect that gained the judges attention because of its broad versatility within a broad range of applications. Ducting or trunking systems are rapidly replacing traditional fixed installations because of a greater demand for flexibility in commercial and office environments. Such environments frequently increase or relocate power and communication outlets particularly as more businesses progress towards a paperless society.
