Radio Waves is one of the world's leading manufacturers of microwave antennas and produces a diverse range of high quality antennas for broadcast, unlicensed ISM and UNII bands, MMDS (2,5 and 3,5 GHz) LMDS Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) and Point-to-Point (PtP) microwave applications.

Mike Cahill, vice president sales of Radio Waves is positive about the relationship that the company has struck up with Webb Industries and sees the company operating as a strategic partner in order to expand the market throughout Africa. "Through Webb's expertise and contacts throughout sub-Saharan Africa we believe that we have established a relationship which is likely to grow and develop both companies," he said. "Webb's track record has been outstanding as well as its product knowledge, local manufacturing expertise and sales networks."

Radio Waves is a proven manufacturer of quality antennas for cellular and PCS/GSM base station interconnects, Internet service providers, hospitals and universities, private networks, disaster recovery and many applications. "Our international success has been achieved through high quality products backed by in-depth expertise," adds Cahill.

Richards said there was a great deal of synergy between Webb and Radio Waves as Webb is the largest local supplier of peripheral telecommunications equipment and has an extensive factory in Sandton where it produces telecommunications equipment for the local and world markets.

"Radio Waves' range of equipment has complemented our existing range of imported and locally manufactured telecommunications products enabling us to offer customers throughout Africa a broader service," concluded Richards.
