Phoenix Passive Components manufactures and sells conventional fixed linear resistors worldwide. Based on its two main technologies, wire-wound and metal film the company supplies a broad product portfolio, including standard, precision, fusible and encased resistors, as well as application specific solutions such as noise-suppressors and lighting resistors.
Phoenix Passive Components has been a worldwide supplier of quality resistors for more than 50 years. Since 1999, customers have been buying its products under the BCcomponents brand name. Due to its recent acquisition by Vishay, Phoenix Passive Components will cease to distribute through BCcomponents. However, it will still offer the very same products through its own, direct sales channels, using the same code numbers as before.
Phoenix Passive Components has built upon vast competence in developing and manufacturing resistors. The manufacturing unit is located in Recife, Brazil, and employs more than 500 people. According to the company its strong points are its logistics performance, together with its development capability for specific customer requests. Its quality system follows international standards as demonstrated by QS9000, ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications.
