Test & Measurement Conference 2003
13 August 2003
Events
The Test & Measurement Conference 2003 is scheduled to take place between 24 and 27 August 2003 at Birchwood Executive Hotel and Conference Centre, Boksburg.
Co-organised by the National Laboratory Association (NLA), the CSIR's National Metrology Laboratory (NML) and the Metrology Instrumentation Group (MIG), this year's event promises to afford those in test and measurement activities an opportunity to learn and share experiences.
Traditionally focused on calibration matters, this year's conference will have many papers that come from the analytical environment as well as the testing and quality areas - a growing feature over the past few years.
It should be noted that there is a substantial and growing demand from regulators to only accept SANAS-Accredited Certificates and potential users of both products and services who fall into this category will be able to discuss wide-ranging issues of concern as well as gain insight into the latest developments in laboratory matters.
An event of this nature is also an ideal opportunity for those attending to not only benefit from information presented and the discussions that follow, but also to establish a network of contacts with similar concerns and challenges for future reference.
Over 80 presentations will be made in five 'streams', which indicates the diversity and range that will be covered. Presenters will be not only from South Africa but also the SADC region and Africa, Israel, Europe and the USA. A number of prominent suppliers will be exhibiting and together with a range of social events, this will once again satisfy attendees' needs.
For further details, including a provisional programme see www.nla.org.za/conferences, tel 012 349 1500, or contact either Steve Sidney, [email protected] or Maggie Rossouw, [email protected]
