AAD receives outstanding achievement award

5 May 2004 News

Arrow Altech Distribution has received an outstanding achievement award from STMicroelectronics for exceeding its expectations for the 2003 calendar year.

The award was presented to AAD during a business review visit in March by ST's corporate vice president, Carmelo Papa, and region vice president, EMEA Area, Michel Laloy. As a non-exclusive distributor for the company's broad range of semiconductor products in South Africa, AAD significantly increased its year-on-year ST re-sales in the local electronics marketplace, hence the award.

GM for marketing at AAD, Rodger Warren, says, "STMicroelectronics is a global leader in developing and delivering semiconductor solutions across the spectrum of microelectronics applications. Their product range has great potential for future growth, particularly in the microcontroller, memory and analog areas. This complements AAD's semiconductor portfolio and goes hand-in-hand with our passive, electro-mechanical, frequency and wireless technologies. ST will remain one of our key partner focuses and we are positive that we will once again exceed expectations in the coming year."
