On 1 June 2004, Phoenix Contact signed a distributorship agreement with Electrocomp for its range of Combicon PCB connectors and housings. Combicon is the brand name for Phoenix Contact’s world-leading range of PCB connectors and housings.
From its German origins in 1923 as Phönix Elektrizitätsgesellchaft, Phoenix Contact has evolved to become a leading manufacturer with a high commitment to quality and innovation. It says that its key aim is to simplify customers' tasks and create more efficient connection technology. Phoenix Contact in South Africa is today a wholly-owned subsidiary of Phoenix Contact GmbH, and one of a growing network of more than 30 subsidiaries worldwide. Its Combicon product range meets all requirements for connecting plant and control. With this new agreement Electrocomp is equipped to supply this world-leading range of Combicon PCB connectors and terminals, that now comprises over 14 000 variations. With the proven Electrocomp logistical infrastructure, the company says that customers can also be assured of superior service.
