Siemens launches new partner programme

Siemens Southern Africa has launched a new customer-focused Partner Programme that it says will expose its customers to its global network of innovation while at the same time strengthening relationships with current partners. The Partner Programme will concentrate on addressing the broad needs of Siemens' customers and partners, and is based on extensive research conducted on similar programmes across all industry segments as well as on feedback received from the company's existing partner network.
In a bid to ensure that end-users are assured of the best possible solution through an extension of Siemens' technical expertise, the company aims to affiliate itself with partners to assist the company in adding value. Companies taking part in the programme will fall into three membership categories - Blue, Silver and Gold - reflecting each company's conformance to Siemens' specific grading criteria. This ensures that the partner can sufficiently support the products being offered to the customer, says Siemens.
Companies interested in joining will be able to register online, after which the business will be assessed and a membership level awarded. Annual assessments will also be done to ensure conformance. An electronic newsletter and a quarterly newsletter will be distributed, and Siemens will also establish a website dedicated to providing links to product support, price lists and stock availability.
Customers will have access to a wide range of partners capable of supplying Siemens products throughout South Africa, with approved integrators stocking automation products and approved distributors stocking process instrumentation or switchgear, motors and variable speed drives.
