Three of the world's leaders of power solutions have thrown their weight behind Power Generation World Africa 2005, to be run on 19-20 April 2005, in Midrand, making this the most important power event on the African continent.
The Power Generation World team welcomes ABB, Alstom, and Siemens as key sponsors of the event, announced the organiser, Terrapinn.
"Power Generation World Africa 2005 is the only exhibition that is able to provide ABB with one opportunity to reach all the facets of the power market in Africa," said Shivani Chetram, communication manager at ABB South Africa.
"This is where the technology, the know-how and ideas come together to make Africa's power industry work," states Terrapinn. "Power Generation World Africa 2005, the focused two-day exhibition, is held alongside three exciting new events in the power industry namely, Transmission and Distribution World Africa 2005, Renewable Energy World Africa 2005 and Energy Efficiency World Africa 2005."
"We decided to participate in Power Generation World Africa 2005, to raise Alstom's profile and reach new entrants in the African power industry," commented Hugh Kennedy, general manager - Utility Power Plants, Alstom SA.
"Siemens has sponsored the event for the last three years. We share the same vision as Terrapinn regarding the power industry in Africa. This event is a great opportunity for Siemens to meet the next generation of clients from the major utilities throughout Africa," said Jose Machado, communications consultant at Siemens.
The event is an important director-level conference and trade exhibition dedicated to power generation on the continent. It is an opportunity for world-class vendors to present their solutions to a targeted audience of decision-makers, including delegates, speakers and visitors, from Africa's major power providers and end-users. The exhibition will showcase power generation products, services and solutions from the world's leading vendors.
