MB Silicon Systems has concluded a distribution agreement with Power Integrations, a supplier of high-voltage analog integrated circuits for power conversion. Effective 1 October 2005, the agreement incorporates Power Integrations' whole product line, which consists of the LinkSwitch, DPA-Switch, TinySwitch and TOPSwitch IC families, supported by free design software and extensive design collateral.
Says sales director, Mark Rowland: "The addition of Power Integrations to our product offering has been one of our strategic growth objectives. We are very optimistic about this opportunity, which expands our offering of innovative semiconductor products to the South African market."

According to the company, its EcoSmart energy-efficiency technology has saved consumers and businesses around the world more than an estimated $1 bn on their electricity bills since its introduction in 1998.
