Tejas Networks now represented in SA

29 November 2006 News

Comtest's BEE subsidiary, Kikiza, has concluded an agreement to represent Tejas Networks in southern Africa. An Indian company founded in 2000, Tejas Networks has spread its reach globally through strategic partnerships with leading global equipment vendors.

"We are excited about the prospects that Tejas opens up for Kikiza in the southern African markets," says Richard Lewis, Kikiza's business development manager.

"Tejas offers a product that is ideally suited to both developing and mature markets. It is a cost-effective, new generation network solution for telecommunication network operators."

Tejas has a full portfolio of next-generation SDH/SONET equipment from a 1U STM-1 CPE to a 20G wide-band digital cross-connect.

All Tejas products are based on the same software base, thus simplifying network management whilst sharing the same tributary cards, reducing the cost of ownership and making inventory management simple. Lewis says that these design capabilities allow any VPN and major carrier class service providers to build the most optimal network to suit current and future requirements with ease.
