News
With Microchip Technology and Circuit Cellar’s 16-bit Embedded Control Design Contest for 2007, the perfect opportunity is here to learn about Microchip’s 16-bit microcontroller and digital signal controller (DSC) families.
These powerful workhorses offer a broad range of products while preserving the compatibility that can help save time and money on subsequent designs.
Designers and developers can put their creativity to the test. "Your project could gain you international recognition over and above the cash prizes totalling US$15 000 - US$5000 for first place, US$3000 for second place, US$1750 for third place and US$750 for each of the seven subcategories." Superior use of one or more of the unique subcategory features will determine the subcategory winner:
1. Effective use of SMPS resources (for example resources found on dsPIC30F2020).
2. Effective use of motor control resources (for example resources found on dsPIC30F2010).
3. Use of smart sensing methodologies.
4. Connected (communications) applications.
5. Effective use of peripheral pin select (for example resources found on PIC24FJ64GA002).
6. Effective use of DSP technology.
7. Best use of bonus parts.
The deadline for submissions is 16 October 2007.
