SMART Group SA is an organisation promoting the advancement of the South African electronics industry through the education, training and notification of its members in surface mount and related assembly technologies, and by the promotion of a community of electronics industry professionals. It is offering the electronics departments of South African universities the opportunity to attend a unique learning experience by offering them complimentary places at each of their upcoming electronics seminars.
According to SMART chairman Steve Eglinton, “A key aim of SMART Group SA is to educate and improve the knowledge of our electronics engineers. This is a great way of reaching the people who will shape the future of the electronics industry within South Africa.”
The seminar programme: 'Manufacturing process improvement and optimisation' will run in Cape Town, Midrand and Durban, in late April, with world class speakers from Europe and the USA. It is already attracting very good numbers of delegates, with most of the major companies represented.
