Trinity appoints security distributor in Namibia

18 March 2009 News

Trinity Telecomms has announced the appointment of FireTech Systems as the Namibian distributor for its range of wireless solutions for the security industry.

Based in Windhoek, FireTech was established in 2004 as a distributor and wholesaler of a range of technology products, including electronic life safety and security equipment, servicing customers throughout Namibia and Angola.

Tiaan van Niekerk, MD of FireTech comments: “We began by servicing the security market with GSM-based CCTV solutions initially, but realised the potential of GSM-based solutions in Namibia, especially for our customers in more remote areas. We began researching the market, and discovered Trinity Telecomms’ products at the Securex exhibition in 2008. We were very interested in the ActiveGuard guard routing solution, as well as Trinity’s range of wireless alarm transmitters.

“Developed in Poland, the ActiveGuard solution and wireless alarm transmitters have been subject to stringent testing for temperature and other environmental conditions, and have proven themselves ideal for the harsh conditions that we experience in Africa. We are looking forward to installing these products in our region.”
