Arrow Altech Distribution (AAD) represents many of the foremost international component manufacturers such as Wavecom, STMicroelectronics, Atmel, Freescale, Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductors, National Semiconductor, Intel, Amphenol, Tyco, Samtec and Molex. The company is a joint venture between Altech, South Africa’s premier multibillion Rand JSE listed group, and Arrow Electronics, one of the world’s largest NYSE listed distribution giants.

AAD’s world class distribution centre – situated in Jet Park – ensures that customers experience convenience when purchasing electronic components and other related products. This well equipped 6 000 m² warehouse and office facility provides a business centre for approximately 100 staff, with regional offices in Cape Town and Durban.

AAD offers a comprehensive line card which includes semiconductor, passive, electromechanical, connector, display, frequency, battery, wireless and lighting products. The company has a team of experienced electronic engineers that are available to support its customer base across the spectrum of its product offerings. These engineers are available to assist customers in selecting the right device for the application, providing technical support where required and ensuring that the design process is a seamless one. In line with the quality objectives of AAD’s shareholders, Arrow and Altech, AAD is ISO 9001:2000 certified.

The company invites all customers to visit its stand at the show to enjoy a free cup of designer coffee with its field application and sales engineers. AAD will have numerous competitions running during the show, with prizes to be won including evaluation tools and development kits for microcontrollers and processors, wireless products, solar, LED lighting and others.
