Beta LAYOUT

February 2010 Events

Beta LAYOUT has been impressive since its arrival in South Africa. Being the pioneer of online printed circuit board ordering, and developing the original PCB-POOL concept has raised the company’s reputation as being a leading PCB prototype manufacturer. Offering instant online quotations, customers receive professionally manufactured prototypes at discounted prices, live online order tracking and live online customer support.

With no minimum quantity requirement, no tooling or setup charges and full design rule checks included on all orders, PCB-POOL offers lead times from five to eight working days. The company’s special offer of a free reflow kit with any online order has been so popular with customers that Beta LAYOUT has extended the offer. The company also continues to offer a free stencil with every prototype order placed via the website.

During its shutdown period over the holidays, Beta LAYOUT took the opportunity to begin installation of an automatic plating line, which will permit high quality copper plating 24/7. The company has also installed a lead-free HAL (hot air level machine) which will run in parallel with the standard tin lead HAL finish.

As well as the new hardware upgrades, the company announced a South African version of the popular layout software Target 3001, available for free download from its website. Target 3001 is a CAD-/CAE-software for PCB design, consisting of schematic, mixed mode simulation, autorouter, autoplacer, PCB layout, 3D view with a STEP export, basic EMC check and a front panel layout tool.

Finally, Beta LAYOUT has announced that it plans to start producing front panels. The service will boast multicolour printing of text, logos and images with a sturdy, long-lasting and professional finish.

Beta LAYOUT will be exhibiting on stand C4.
