Barlow signs with Shenick

17 March 2010 News

Barlow Communications has signed a distribution agreement with Shenick Network Systems for the supply of video and VoIP test solutions.

Commented Barlow managing director Frank Barlow: “We already provide a wide range of VoIP monitoring, test and simulation products, but with the anticipated growth in the demand for various video services, especially with the Soccer World Cup just around the corner, we felt that our range of video monitoring and troubleshooting tools needed to be more comprehensive. The Shenick product range effectively ‘plugs’ the gap.”

Shenick has received many international awards for its video-based solutions, including the 2009 Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) IPTV Excellence Award presented by Internet Telephony magazine, and was also the recipient of the 2008 Product of the Year Award for its ServicEye product that is acknowledged for providing a vital service for the IPTV monitoring and service assurance market. From the video head end right through to the end viewer, servicEye combines an active and passive monitoring system to ensure end-to-end quality of experience (QoE) for the user.

In conclusion Barlow adds that “By incorporating the Shenick product range we are now able to offer a comprehensive and powerful solution for almost any aspect of UC testing, VoIP, video and data. This includes monitoring, reporting, troubleshooting, simulation, lab testing and enterprise wide network emulation, for those organisations that require a complete network performance monitoring and service assurance solution and want to deliver the highest quality network service, better service QoE, reduced customer churn and provide for more profitable services.”
