Avnet Kopp gains access to National Semiconductor range

South African distributor Avnet Kopp has become a beneficiary of the recent takeover of semiconductor giant National Semiconductor by the even bigger Texas Instruments.

The merger means that Avnet Kopp, by virtue of its existing distribution agreement with TI, gains access to National’s extensive portfolio of analog products.

National products from Texas Instruments deliver innovative analog technology by combining energy-efficient, easy-to-use products with industry-leading WEBENCH Designer tools. National’s power management portfolio meets the demanding requirements of industrial, data centre, communications, tablet and mobile devices, lighting, solar and other emerging applications.

TI and National’s combined product range covers some 42 000 products with a wide range of performance, power and packaging options, while a common set of online tools eases the selection and design process.
