Murata Electronics has appointed Arrow Altech Distribution (AAD) as an authorised distributor in South Africa for its complete product range, with effect from 1 March 2012.
Commenting on the new appointment, general manager, Supplier Marketing and Business Development at AAD, Andre du Preez, said: “We are delighted and excited by the appointment by Murata and look forward to further developing the local market for their products. As one of the leading broad line component distributors in South Africa, the Murata range is a perfect complement to our existing product portfolio and will provide many new opportunities for growth in our market in support of AAD’s strategic growth plan.
“AAD is well positioned to align itself with Murata’s demand creation strategy and has a well qualified team of specialist and generalist field application engineers covering the Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal regions,” du Preez continued. “They are backed by a team of professional and experienced key account managers, field sales engineers and customer service and support personnel.
