Three years of hard work have paid off for RF Design as the company has convinced Ctrack to select u-blox (one of RF Design’s premier product lines) as its supplier of embedded GPS and cellular technology.
Ctrack, a division of Digicore with over 1000 employees, will leverage u-blox’ high-performance NEO line of GPS and LEON/LISA 2G and 3G module series to ensure that its Insure, Secure and Lite vehicle management systems continue to provide 24/7 Internet-based surveillance capabilities including real-time and historical positional overview, automatic alerts in the case of unauthorised vehicle movement or tampering, area alerts, SARS-compliant logbook and optional remote panic button.
Ctrack partners with global cellular providers such as Vodafone, MTN and Celcom to ensure real-time visibility of vehicles and systems being tracked. The company uses mapping applications such as Google, HERE maps and Tom Tom maps, giving customers a choice of normal, terrain and satellite views in its software applications.
