Impact means business in South Africa

Impact Memec South Africa, a division of Memec South Africa, has moved to its new offices in Bartlett Lake Office Park, Bartlett, Boksburg. Impact Memec is one of the new divisions that has been spun out of the old Multitech Electronics Corporation. Memec purchased 100% of Multitech Electronics Corporation in September of 1999.

The company will focus on the design in and distribution of semiconductor and display products from some of the world's leading manufacturers. The products available will cover a wide selection including microcontrollers, broadband, digital and analog semiconductors as well as LCDs, TFTs, plasma displays and electrolytic capacitors.

Impact Memec will be headed by Rob McMaster with Neville Wilken (Field Applications Engineer) and Gary De Klerk (Field Applications Engineer) servicing the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal areas. Impact Memec has also opened a Cape Town office which is staffed by Stephen Schoeman (Field Sales Engineer) and Sue Stevens (Internal Sales Engineer).
