New T&M tools said to be rugged

9 April 2003 Test & Measurement

Spescom MeasureGraph has introduced a comprehensive product line of T&M tools that is suitable for shop, workbench or home use. The Meterman is a line of more than 60 test and measurement tools that are versatile and easy-to-use. The range is aimed at a wide target market, including electronic and electrical technicians and engineers, service technicians and 'weekend tool jockeys'.

The Meterman line includes everything from rugged digital multimeters to basic and specialty testers for lighting, electrical and electronics testing. Clamp-on ammeters offer precise electrical readings, while component testers and specialty test tools are the right match for electronics troubleshooting. The products range from low-cost basic testers to high-performance auto-rangers and true heavy-duty digital multimeters.

Once found solely on the bench of seasoned specialised professionals, digital multimeters are now routinely used by non-professionals at work and at home. The company says that these products combine affordable value with the ability to make razor-accurate measurements in the most rugged environments. The tools feature large displays, extra fusing, safety test leads, Digi-Glo backlighting, live voltage safety testers, wrong input user warning beepers, a complete line of accessories and a patented new T-shape designed to fit the hand.

The product range includes: HD series - rugged digital multimeters; XT Series - digital multimeters for multi-purpose applications; basic multitesters and specialty digital multimeters; clamp-on ammeters - for electrical measuring applications; component testers and specialty test tools for electronics troubleshooting, bench instruments, and accessories.
