Multiproduct calibrator range

7 May 2003 Test & Measurement

Transmille in the UK has released three new multiproduct calibrators in its popular 2000 series. All are said to have improved accuracy and functionality and provide a cost-effective calibration solution to the needs of a modern calibration laboratory today.

The Model 2006A, Transmille's most accurate calibrator, is capable of calibrating up to 7½ digit DMMs with a DC volt stability of better than 5 ppm/year. The 2041A designed for up to 5½ digit DMMs and has a stability of better than 25 ppm. There is a third ultra-low cost multifunction calibrator for entry-level requirements. For ATE applications there are also special versions of the 2006A and 2041A with just DCV and DCI functions enabling a very cost-effective systems solution.

The AC function is redesigned giving an improved specification and increased bandwidth, the resistance range improved to go now to 1 GΩ with an option of adding '29' values on each range for higher count DMMs. The other major function capability now is the utilisation of the calibrator's internal 21 bit A/D (2006A/2041A only) that allows the calibrator to source a function whilst measuring an input voltage.
