Vicor - through its subsidiary Mission Power Solutions - offers a low-profile, configurable AC-DC switching power supply packaged for rugged military applications. Designated Badger, it enables designers using Vicor 2nd Generation DC-DC converters to meet the conducted emissions requirements of MIL-STD-461E, the transient requirements of MIL-STD-704E, and the environmental test requirements of MIL-STD-810. It combines the advantages of power factor correction, high power density, and user-selected isolated outputs.
Accepting input voltages of 85 V a.c. to 264 V a.c. or 100 to 380 V d.c., the Badger can provide up to 1500 W in a package size of 65 x 178 x 349 (HxWxL). Specifically designed for the shock and vibration environments experienced in military applications, it can provide up to 12 isolated outputs and is factory configured to meet user requirements.
