Calibration tool for Ex zones

4 June 2003 Test & Measurement Power Electronics / Power Management

Spescom MeasureGraph has introduced the Fluke 707Ex intrinsically safe loop calibrator for use in explosion endangered areas. The Fluke 707Ex is certified in accordance with the NEW ATEX directive (Ex II 2 G Eex ia IIC T4) in zones 1 and 2. The calibrator is also certified to operate in accordance with Factory Mutual N.I. class 1, division 2 areas group A-D.

The Fluke 707Ex intrinsically safe loop calibrator is highly suitable for instrument technicians working on process control systems in explosion-endangered areas.

The calibrator's key features include a large display and simple, quick-click push rotary button for easy one-handed operation. It also has simultaneous mA and % readout for quick, easy interpretation of readings, as well as an mA accuracy of 0,015%. The 707Ex has an internal loop supply, so users can power and read a transmitter at the same time without carrying a DMM.

The 707Ex comes with the following accessories: a pair of safety designed test leads; a pair of alligator clips; holster; instruction manual; 707EX CCD content control drawing, CE, CSA, FM and ATEX markings.
