The EIS8-100T eight-port 10/100 Mbps all copper switch and the EIS6-100T/FT carry the required RU label. Both units needed to pass the rigorous UL 864 test that includes:
* 6000 volt supply line transients.
* 2400 volt signal circuit transients.
* 5000 volt input voltage surge.
* 115% of rated voltage overload.
"There were other requirements, such as specific temperature and humidity tests and reliability calculations, that were accomplished. By specifying these CTRLink products, the OEM can speed up the UL 864 qualifying process.
"There is a difference when selecting industrial Ethernet products."
