Power Electronics / Power Management
LEM's AKS series of ground fault sensors are designed to operate on AC systems in the frequency range from 50 to 400 Hz. Ground fault sensors operate from the line and are also available to operate on 24 V a.c. or d.c. systems. The primary current measurement range is from 5 to 950 mA, which is factory adjusted to customers' requirements or there are models that are field-settable in the range of 5, 10 or 30 mA.
In addition to solid state outputs, as an option the units can be supplied with a relay contact output in failsafe and non-failsafe configurations. Application includes the protection of people, products and processors from ground faults, by monitoring all current-carrying conductors in grounded, single or three phase systems.
