150 mA CMOS LDO in tiny package

27 August 2003 Power Electronics / Power Management Conferences & Events Training & Education

Microchip's new 150 mA low dropout regulator is available in the space-saving 5-pin SC-70 package. The TC1017 LDO has a low dropout voltage of 285 mV at 150 mA and a low-supply current of 53 µA, which significantly extends battery life. The device improves system performance, reduces board space and minimises system cost. In addition, customers can replace SOT-23 LDOs with a 50% smaller footprint device without compromising performance.

The TC1017's high-output voltage accuracy (±2,5% max.) and superior dynamic behaviour meet demanding power supply requirements. A shutdown mode is also provided to further reduce power consumption to as low as 0,05 µA. The TC1017 features a maximum output current of 150 mA and is offered with a variety of output voltage options.
