Power supply units in flat format

27 August 2003 Power Electronics / Power Management

'Step Power' power supply units from Phoenix Contact feature a special flat design. Their standard casing dimensions make them suitable for installation in all small distribution boards, and also in cramped operator consoles. The five devices ensure that the complete voltage range of 5 V/4 A, 12/3, 15/2,4, 24/1,5 to 48/0,75 is covered. An integrated power reserve of up to 100% ensures reliable power-up.

Consistent implementation of the wide input range ensures safe operation on all common AC and DC power grids. A reliable and high level of safe operation is also ensured on global networks. Step power can also be installed where static voltage dips and transient power failures have to be reckoned with. Generously-sized capacitors ensure a power failure bridging time of more than 20 ms under full load.
