Power-One's FXP7000-48 AC/DC front-end power supply is designed for distributed power architectures, this front-end accepts common input voltages from 200 to 480 V a.c. and provides up to 7000 W of 48 V d.c. output from a rear-mounted, hot-plug floating connector. Providing a power density of 10,9 W/in3 from a 5" x 8" x 16,1" package, up to 30 of these supplies can be connected in parallel to provide up to 210 kW.
In addition to accepting 3-phase AC input, the FXP7000 has an array of key features which include: being suitable for 3U or 5U mounting, LED supply status indicators, single-wire or droop current sharing, remote voltage adjustment and monitoring, and protection against input transients, overload, overvoltage, and overtemperature. Safety agency approvals include UL60950, CSA 22.2 No. 60950-00, and EN60950 (TUV).
Mounting shelves are also available. The FRV7000 shelf mounts three FXP7000-48s in a 5U, 19" shelf, while the FRH7000 shelf mounts two FXP7000-48s in a 3U, 19" shelf. Both provide all internal connections, combined logic functions, and one output. A fully-configured FRV7000 will provide 435 A/21 kW of power and a fully-configured FRH7000 will provide 290 A/14 kW of power.
