The X3015P is a new member of Power-One's maXyz family of DC-DC converters. This is an exceptionally small device that uses a semiconductor LGA package and is ideal for powering intermediate bus architecture point-of-load (POL) applications. This non-isolated POL converter integrates 22 power semiconductor and layout-critical passive components to provide 15 A of output current from a 10 x 12 mm footprint. An ultra-low-profile 1,5 mm height allows mounting on the bottom side of a host printed circuit board, further reducing critical-space consumption on the top side of the board. It has a wide input voltage range (3 to 6 V d.c.) and an output that is programmable from 0,75 to 4 V d.c. Programmable fixed frequency, 300-500 kHz, allows optimisation of POL designs for the smallest size, lowest cost, and highest efficiency.
