The Axiomtek SBC83672V4E is an EBGA Embedded SBC (single board computer) with four x LAN for Network Appliance applications. With a low power VIA Eden/C3 processor onboard that supports 400 MHz and 800 MHz (optional 667 MHz and 1 GHz), the wide processor operation for either fan or fan-less use and the entry/higher level system configuration demand are selectable.
The SBC has multiple Fast Ethernet configuration from 2 to 4, which is good for load-balancing and fail-over applications when multiple LANs are a must. Sets of LEDs for programmable indication can be mounted directly onto the appliance enclosure's front bezel for each LAN activity report. Two RS232 COM Ports are reserved to cope with the unique BIOS feature.
The SBC has 64 MB SDRAM on board (for 400 MHz CPU); 128 MB SDRAM onboard and 1 extra 168-pin DIMM max up to 512 MB (for 800 MHz CPU). An onboard CompactFlash socket allows low cost SSD (solid state drive) if needed. Two onboard USBs are available for convenience of system maintenance.
The board has a unique ID that provides better SW security. An optional onboard Mini PCI slot allows more feature expansion such as additional LAN, 1394, DES, etc.
