Analog Devices' MEMS-based gyroscope wins award

The Analog Devices iMEMS Gyroscope was chosen as a winner in EDN magazine's 2002 'Innovation of the Year' award competition. ADI's ADXRS150 won the top award for the Sensor Components category - the third time an ADI iMEMS product has received this honour. Previous ADI EDN innovation winners included ADXL50 high-g accelerometer (1993) and the ADXL202 low-g, dual axis accelerometer (1998).

"Our product development teams feel a great deal of satisfaction in knowing that after 10 years, iMEMS technology continues to deliver the industry's most innovative sensors as judged by design engineers building real-world systems," said Paul Ganci, product line director, Micromachined Products Division, Analog Devices.
