Benchtop temperature and RH generator introduced

8 October 2003 Test & Measurement

Spescom MeasureGraph has introduced the newly expanded range of Hart Scientific temperature calibration products and services, which now include temperature/humidity generation products.

The new Hart Model 5121 temperature/humidity generator is a self-contained benchtop unit that calibrates a wide variety of temperature/humidity measurement instruments and generates RH (relative humidity) with an accuracy of ±0,5%.

The 5121 produces atmospheres of known humidity values using the 'two-pressure' generation principle that involves saturating a stream of air with water vapour at a known temperature and pressure to derive RH. Using this principle, the 5121 generates RH with an accuracy of 0,5% over the range 0 to 70°C, proving extremely valuable to industries like pharmaceuticals and others that depend on precise humidity measurements over a broad range.

Technicians can now use the 5121 to calibrate humidity probes, data loggers, chart recorders, and hygrometers reducing the cost and time involved in outsourcing calibration.

The 5121 also performs environmental testing and facilitates data evaluation and verification. It comes standard with humidity conversion and calibration automation software that allows technicians to pre-program set points and walk away until the calibrations are complete.
