Advanced Analogic Technologies' synchronous buck DC-DC converter delivers a 1 A output current, operates at a high 1 MHz switching frequency and using synchronous rectification, combines small size and low ripple current with full internal compensation to minimise requirements for external components. The full-featured AAT1150 supports fixed inputs from 2,7 to 5 V. Outputs are fixed or adjustable from 1,0 to 4,2 V depending on options. The device features low on-resistance 110 mΩ MOSFET switches and efficiency up to 95%. The constant PWM part is optimised for low ripple and the device's high stability supports the use of ceramic capacitors. A digital soft-start limits surge current during start-up and it has comprehensive current-limit and over-temperature protection.
