LEM has introduced the Analyst Q70 handheld power quality analyser, which offers a comprehensive range of measurements to help to track down the increasing number of power quality problems on single-phase electrical systems.
The Analyst Q70, with its colour display, simultaneously measures and displays voltage and current as digital values or as a waveform. Associated values measured include frequency, power, power factor, apparent power, reactive power and energy. The minimum and maximum values of each of these values is also displayed.
The Q70's unique EN50160 power quality summary presents several days information on one simple screen providing PASS/FAIL analysis. From the summary level it is possible to 'drill' down to detailed lower level information making analysis simple and powerful. The large memory enables long term recording depending upon the average period selected. Harmonics up to the 50th are presented with magnitude and phase information simultaneously. The phase information provides vital clues as to which direction harmonics may be coming from, which loads may be causing problems.
The Analyst Q70 is supplied with a standard 3000A LEM-Flex flexible current probe, carrying bag, voltage measuring leads, batteries, mains power adapter and PQLog software.
Additional current probes are available for low current measurements. Safety features conforming with IEC 1010 provide confidence when working in hazardous voltage areas, whilst conformance to EMC standards ensures high reliability through reduced susceptibility to electromagnetic influences.
