Mentor Graphics received a 'Ten best Web support sites' award from the Association of Support Professionals (ASP) and is the first electronic design automation (EDA) company to win this award. Locally represented by ASIC Design Services, the company says that Mentor was recognised for its secure, full-service customer support website, SupportNet, which provides a comprehensive range of technical information, advanced interactive features and product updates tailored to the needs of each customer.
Websites were evaluated on several areas, including overall usability, design, and navigation, knowledgebase and search implementation, interactive features, personalisation and major site development considerations. Mentor Graphics received high marks - exceeding ratings averages - for such criteria as the overall look and feel of its SupportNet website and the functionality of the site's KnowledgeBase system. Mentor's SupportNet website was also recognised for making it easy for customers to access live support and escalate problems as appropriate.
