Compact surface mount switches replace jumpers and wires on PCBs

BCcomponents launched a family of devices that simplify PCB layout and manufacture by allowing designers to replace conventional jumper pin and wire arrangements with compact, reliable surface-mount switches.

Measuring just 5,4 x 2,5 x 2,5 mm, products in the CJS family offer a reliable, low profile surface mount alternative that can be mounted and soldered in the same way as other SMT components. Furthermore, depending on the final assembly process, the switches also allow designers to make use of the underside of the PCB for increased component density and simplified layout.

Offering one touch, error-free changeover or adjustment, they feature an SPDT (single pole double throw) contact arrangement and can be supplied with or without a neutral detent.
