The latest switch-mode power supply from XP, the SDS120, is a compact 120 W unit that delivers full power at up to 50°C ambient without the need for forced air cooling. Most other power supplies of this footprint and rating require fan cooling which increases system size and cost, says XP.
The SDS120 measures 127 x 81 x 39 mm making it suitable for 1U installation, even when fitted with its optional cover. The power supply has a universal input between 90 and 264 V a.c. and output voltages from 3,3 to 48 V d.c. The range comprises 11 single-output, seven dual output and 18 triple output models, all of which meet international safety agency standards and feature active power factor correction to comply with EN61000-3-2,-3.
Single-output versions have no minimum load requirement and all models include optional power fail detection signals, and both overcurrent and overvoltage protection. The SDS120 has integral EMI filtering to meet EN55022 CISPR22 Class B and FCC Level B requirements with respect to conducted EMC.
