Transport (Industry)
National Semiconductor has strengthened its portfolio of high-speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) by introducing five new 10- and 12-bit converters that it claims feature the industry's lowest power consumption and yet deliver superior dynamic performance. The ADC10080, ADC10065 and ADC10040 devices consume 78 mW at 80 MSPS, 68 mW at 65 MSPS, and 55 mW at 40 MSPS, respectively, making them the lowest power ADCs in the industry, according to the company. They feature a precision 1,2 V internal reference. Differential inputs provide a full-scale selectable input swing of 2 Vpp, 1,5 Vpp or 1 Vpp, allowing flexibility in board design. They also have a wide 400 MHz, -3 dB bandwidth, enabling their use in high-IF applications. These 5 V ADCs consume only 185 mW at 20 MSPS and 160 mW at 10 MSPS.
Modernising ‘smart’ ports
IoT & Automation Information Security Transport (Industry) Logistics (Industry)
A modern port is part of a much larger digital trade ecosystem where all systems need to work together. If one part of that ecosystem is disrupted, the impact can quickly move through the supply chain.
