Power Integrations expanded its family of high-voltage power conversion ICs that cost-effectively replace energy wasting, non-isolated power supplies found in home appliances and industrial controls. The company says its three-member LinkSwitch-TN family delivers switcher benefits - smaller size, lighter weight, superior performance, and energy efficiency - at equal or lower cost relative to older technologies. Universal input range (85-265 V a.c.) and EcoSmart technology enables very low no-load power (80 mW at 230 V a.c.).
