Ceibo's inDART-HC08/D is a powerful entry-level in-circuit, realtime debugger/programmer tool for Motorola HC08-based systems. It takes advantage of the Metrowerks CodeWarrior Integrated Development Environment (which groups an Editor, Assembler, C Compiler and Debugger) and the Motorola's MON08 interface, which allows the download of the user application into the microcontroller Flash memory.
Together with CodeWarrior, inDART-HC08/D provides users with everything required to write, compile, download, in-circuit emulate and debug user code. Full-speed program execution allows hardware and software testing in realtime. inDART-HC08/D is connected to and powered by the host PC through a USB connection.
The ISP (in-system-programming) feature allows one to update the content of the Flash program memory when the chip is already plugged on the application board. The ISP feature can be implemented with a minimum number of added components and board area impact. inDART-HC08 uses a standard, 16-pin ISP connector to program the target device.
