Schurter's power entry module, series EF11, combines an appliance inlet and a 2-pole circuit breaker. Unlike popular fused modules, the circuit breaker provides manual reset of the circuit, and higher current limiting characteristics. It also provides circuit status indication depending on the switch position (I/O).
Circuit breaker options include 1 or 2-pole thermal overload protection up to 16 A (20 A), or without bi-metal for 2-pole on/off switching only (max 16 A). An optional under-voltage release can detect power loss and protect against unwanted restart. A remote trip function is also available.
The power entry modules are designed to save panel space, cut parts count and streamline wiring. The EF11 is rated 16 A at 250 V. Applications include higher power consuming equipment, like CAD systems, office automation equipment, industrial workstations, base stations, file servers, bar coding equipment and power supplies. Type EF12 has a line-filter.
