Fujitsu Components expanded its relay offering for the industrial control and appliance markets with the addition of an ultra-slim solid-state device. Designed for high-density PCB mounting, the FTR-SL is a 1A, SIP-type solid state relay measuring 5 x 28 mm and is 15 mm high. It is pin-compatible with Fujitsu's existing FTR-LY electromechanical relay.
The FTR-SL series offers 5, 12, 24 and 60 V d.c. nominal control voltages ranging from 3,75 to 66 V d.c. It can handle a 50 A surge and a peak voltage of 250 V a.c. As a standard feature, it includes a built-in varistor/snubber circuit to prevent malfunction from overvoltage and/or overcurrent, as well as a zero-cross circuit that minimises noise and inrush current.
The FTR-SL has a 2500 V rms dielectric strength between input and output. Its semi-permanent operating life provides a maintenance-free solution.
