Tyco Electronics' OEG PCN series relay has a slim, 5 mm width design that permits high-density spacing on printed circuit boards. The relay has a 1-form-A contact arrangement (single-pole, single throw, normally open). They are suitable for many applications in industrial automation including control panels, I/O panels and PLCs.
PCN relays are rated for 3 A and handle switching voltages up to 250 V a.c or 30 V d.c. resistive. Expected electrical life of the relay is 100 000 operations at the rated load. Bifurcated, gold plated nickel contacts are also capable of reliably switching loads as low as 1 mA at 5 V d.c. The sensitive coil of the PCN relay requires only 120 mW of coil power. PCN relay coils can be ordered in five voltage ratings from 5 to 24 V d.c.
Printed circuit terminals in an in-line configuration are provided for board mounting. The relay is enclosed in a UL 94V-0 rated housing that is RT III and wash-tight.
