The pluggable and 6,2 mm small PLC-Interface relay and opto-coupler product range from Phoenix Contact is being expanded with the PLC-...SO46 line. Interface elements are implemented where conventional relays and opto-couplers cannot correctly shut off, because of noise voltage interference (caused by the control system) or a leakage of current. Effective filter switching reduces unwanted disturbances such as initiator leakage currents or noise voltage interference arising along longer control cables. This noticeably improves the switching behaviour as well.
The modules are designed for use with 120/230 V a.c. power supplies and are available either using screw or spring cage technology. In particular, the PLC relay and opto coupler range features savings on space, wiring and cost.
