Pan Jit enables faster data transmission speeds by offering a family of thyristor surge protective devices (TSPD) with very low typical capacitance values. Protection is critical to avoid latch-up or damage to sensitive components due to lightning or line transients. Pan Jit's TSP-Series are bi-directional TSPDs that provide telecom data line protection against lightning strikes, ESD and spurious voltage transients at board level. The solid-state design of the TSP-Series has no device degradation, which is common with other technologies. In addition, the TSP-Series offers fast response time and a low on-state voltage of 5 V.
Typically, lowering the capacitance often lowers the surge current that a TSPD can withstand. Pan Jit's TSP-Series is an exception here since it offers lower capacitance while offering the industry's highest surge current ratings. The TSP-Series is optimised for telecom devices, ADSL, DSL and VDSL applications and it helps to meet leading standards for surge current.
