Free capacitor software

24 March 2004 Design Automation Power Electronics / Power Management

Extensive design and selection software for ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) is available for free download from the Murata website ( www.murata.com). Information includes an MLCC S-parameter and impedance library, temperature rise with high frequency current, plus apparent and effective power at various frequencies.

Another facility is the selection of MLCCs by combinations of size, voltage and capacitance value; providing a fast and easy way of finding a capacitor for a specific task by entering a minimal amount of data. The more data that is entered, the more focused the selection becomes.
