Users interact with the Panel-PC through a resistive touch screen. This industrial-grade computer is resistant to liquids, vapours and dust. An on-board watchdog timer and power management make it suitable for continuously-run applications in unattended environments.
Key features: Touchscreen rated for 30 million touches, NEMA 4/IP65-rated front panel, Geode 300 MHz (Pentium2 grade) or VIA Eden 400 MHz (Pentium3 grade) low-power processor, 128 MB RAM standard, upgradeable to 512 MB. Three serial ports, two 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports. Internal 2,5" hard disk or compact flash module. Optional 12 V d.c. or 24 V d.c. power supply.
These HMIs come with Windows CE.NET preloaded on 64 MB IDE Flash Disk. The advantages of Windows CE .NET are that it provides an integrated end-to-end tool set which helps manufacturing software applications integrate easily and seamlessly together, and reduces time to develop both operating system and applications. Key benefits are: Offers tiny and reliable core system services that enable the most demanding realtime embedded design across a breadth of devices; Windows CE .NET framework provides the portability of developed applications across all Microsoft Windows systems, such as Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP, etc; Low cost by each run-time licence; Modular design for flexibility and extensibility; Run on many different processors, some with very low power consumption; Instant power shutdown.
The dimensions of the HMI-084 and HMI-104 in moulded plastic case material are: 312 mm (W) x 242 mm (H) x 65 mm (D) and they weigh 3 kg.
